So, here are some photos from our last roll of film. All of us in DC, the swamp Kelly and I live next to, and Taylor, the bird. Good news: I passed my comps. Bad news: that didn't change the English Department's opinion of me.
Yes, staying on in the humanities. Hebrew and guitar are both coming along respectably, though not quite as far as I'd thought they might. The white Beaujolais was unfindable. So, we had a Chardonay, Sauvingnon Blanc, and Verdelho blend. It held up well. We're driving out west this May. Anyone want to come?
April 29 to May 18, ish. From here to Arkansas, to Santa Fe, to Denver, to Wyoming, to Yellowstone, to back here. Maybe we'll make a side trip to see Reinhardt and the Cubs, if he's in town.
I am finished May 13th. Don't know what I'm doing immediately afterward, but Melody will probably need to save her vacation time for the weddings this summer.

Congrats on the comps, condolences on the English dept. Does this mean you're definitely staying on in the Humanities program for the Ph.D?
Also, can you add Luke D's blog to the list of links? It's at lukeduncan.com.
Sorry to hear about the English dept. How are your other projects going?
How was the Beaujolais?

Where and when are you going west? We have two weddings in Oregon this summer. One June 9, and the other much later.

He's in town. My quarter goes to June.
The Cubs, on the other hand... I think they're pretty much finished, no?
