Happy New Year!

It seems that 4 out of the 6 people on this blog are now on facebook. Just thought I'd mention it. . .

(I had to delete the first comment because of some inexplicable problems with my elementary math skills).

I am so busy right now watching a video of Jeremy and Steven playing "Yesterday" on trombone and trumpet, respectively, crica the 1999 era. Oh wait, now Uncle Tim has joined and it's "Oh, Christmas Tree." If I had the abilities I'd post this for everyone's enjoyment.

The Elliotts will never get on facebook. Face it.

Wait, IS EVERETT ON FACEBOOK? Frankly, I'm shocked and appalled and won't believe it until the angel Gabriel tells me otherwise.

Kelly, I think it's you guys who'll have to do the facing. There are people who get on Facebook because they want to be cool, and then there are people who notice that it actually works if you want to stay on touch better with people who are far away... kind of like writing letters or email, except plus pictures etc. I can understand resistance to the former. I can't really understand pig-headedness about the latter... unless, of course, you don't like us anymore.

And that would seriously break my heart.

(Sidenote: The Elliotts already both are on Facebook -- on pictures posted by others. So it's a question of whether or not you want to control how you are on Facebook, not whether you're on Facebook at all. Currently, your choice isn't to be absent -- it's to be passive. And passivity isn't really both your thing, is it?)

Sorry about the rant. I'm going to the gym now to let off the rest of the steam. With my personal trainer. Yep, that's right. I've crossed over to the dark side completely.

flex those muscles mr reinhardt.

what he says is true. i have seen pictures of my brothers, cousins, cousins' babies, friends, and friends' babies in the past couple of days. it is really quite wonderful. while it is not the same as a handwritten letter, it is much more aesthetic than email.

Mr. and Mrs. Reed and I just enjoyed a fine glass of homemade muscadine wine, courtesy of Mr. J Elliott. It was pretty darn good - I'm excited to hear what he's brewing up next.

Cheers to you all on this Epiphany Sunday!

Most immediately, cranberry, then sugarhaw, once I get the juice from Greg, and eventually blackberry, when the season starts. Maybe a mead at some point. If my mint takes off, maybe a mint and honey wine.
