Peace

Today is the International Day of Peace as established by the United Nations. It's also supposed to be a international ceasefire day as well, but I highly doubt that the US will be participating. Please pray for peace today (and everyday). I leave you with a few quotes:

"You must be the change you want to see in the world." - Ghandi

"Peace is the only battle worth waging." - Camus

"Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding." - Einstein

"They shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." - Book of Isaiah

I very seriously doubt the UN took part in this day as well... watching Hizbollah, Syria and Iran arm to the teeth for the impending war because of their hatred of Jews and Israel. Oh and because of the blow-things-up-because-we-belong-to-the- religion-of-peace argument, of course.

Your Einstein quote is interesting. Though I find it hard to achieve understanding with an enemy that won't even start the conversation if you're head is still attached because you didn't submit.

I always wonder how nice it must be to sit back and sip on herbal tea criticizing the country in which one lives and doubt they would abide to the bogus UN on this bogus day of peace.

It's intellectual ignorance; simplicity and elitism at its finest.

No offense. We can certainly pray for peace; but we shouldn't live in la-la land.
